Candied Bakery
by Decisive CravingsFEATURED IN OUR MELBOURNE FOR CONSCIOUS FOODIES GUIDE
What a treat, literally. The Candied Bakery in Spotswood is just an example of how the west is truly blossoming. The Candied Bakery is an American inspired bakery-cafe’ where you can fulfil your most decadent desires. Think chocolate marshmallow cookies, shakes, soft serve, custard donuts, nutella pain au chocolat…and that’s just the start!
Before you smell the sweet scent oozing out of the Candied Bakery’s sugary walls, you will spot their bright yellow signage – big and bold so you know they aren’t mucking around about what’s on offer. Simple, tasteful layout inside with just enough room to come alone, with a friend or a small posse. It’s also a great place to drop into to pick up a selection of cakes and sweets to wow the pants off anyone at your next dinner party.
Candied Bakery also uses the highest quality products, sourcing locally and organically where possible. They use organic Laucke flour, Cherry Tree organic butchers, St David’s Dairy milk and Burd free range eggs. Their coffee is by Collingwood based Proud Mary coffee roasters who use direct trade with coffee farmers.
If for some reason sweets are not your thing, you can accompany your sweet fiend friends and tuck into something with a little more salt content. They stock a great range of sandwiches/rolls as well as savoury pies and sausage rolls. If you are journey’ing westside then Candied Bakery is a must on your itinerary, dare we say it’s even worth the trip alone.
