Melbourne turned on an absolutely perfect, sunny spring day for this year’s third annual Melbourne Salami Festa. Couples and families, young and old, from all cultural background came in droves. They learned about the tradition and art of curing meat and tasted salami from every corner of Victoria. They gathered together, reminisced and shared stories; either committing to continue the tradition in the year to come or vowing to give it a go for the first time. Perhaps I’ll consider entering in my family’s efforts next year…
