The Staple Store

Ripponlea has become quite the culinary hub in recent times. The Staple Store, born out of naturopath Catie Gett’s love for food, and passion for whole food cooking, as well as eco and locally sourced products; is a little gem, full of staples for your pantry and home. Expect everything from whole grains and legumes, to honey and tahini, to their muesli ‘bar’ where you can make your own muesli.

The Staple Store is also well stocked with staples for pantries with food allergies. They carry all the favourite’s like Deek’s gluten free bread, the divine dairy free coconut spread – Coyo, selected Loving Earth products and a whole lot more to inspire you into committing to a healthy diet including a small but quality range of produce by Victorian farmers.

Plus, if owner, cook and naturopath Catie Gett’s working you’ll get endless advice on what to eat and how to eat it. She occasionally even prepares wonderful taste testers to give you an idea of how to use some of the delicious staples on offer. And, if you’re after a snack or meal – The Staple Store sometimes have a little range of lovingly prepared ‘meals in a jar’ ready to go, the recipe’s on the label all you need to do is add a few fresh ingredients and you have an affordable dinner for yourself or the family. Catie’s cooking and food preparation talents can be put to the test with her ‘raw-eo’ cookies – a raw take on Oreo’s (see below), as well as raw dessert slices, and occasionally even healthy take away lunches.
