Homemade Humus Recipe

Learn how to make this delicious humus dip effortlessly at home (from scratch)

We are all just a can of chickpeas and a handful of other basic ingredients away from making our very own humus – from scratch.

Next time you find yourself adding humus to your shopping list, add the ingredients below instead and give making it on your own a go.

This particular humus recipe was taught to us at our recent cooking class and gathering hosted by Cultivating Community by our superbly talented Eritrean cook, Shadya. She effortlessly put together her version (the one below) on the day, just using a small blender. It was so easy to make and apart from the tahini, most of the ingredients are probably lying around your pantry or kitchen.

This recipe, by Shadya yields a wonderfully creamy, nutty humus, and my recommendation is that it is best used to drizzle (generously) over her homemade falafil.

Give Shadya’s homemade humus recipe a go, and let us know how you go!
