Join us on Friday February 16th for our first cooking class for 2018! Learn to make a variety of cheeses with Katia and Sabrina Cappadocio – third generation Italian cheesemakers!
Event Date: Friday February 16th, 2018
Time: 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Cost: $75 per person
Inclusions: An introduction to cheese-making with our artisan, third-generation Italian cheesemakers – Katia and Sabrina Cappadocio. This will be followed by a hand’s on process of how to make yoghurt, how to make curd, followed by making fresh cheese on site. Everyone will be able to take one fresh homemade cheese sample to enjoy at home (or you can eat it on the spot!). Our cheese-making will be followed by a guided cheese tasting of 10 different kinds of cheeses from all around Italy – North to South, and paired with fresh fruit and crackers, as well as fruit based non-alcoholic drinks. Everyone will leave with the cheese/dairy recipes we learn on the evening.
NOTE: This is a non-alcoholic event. Total length of event is two hours.
Location: Fitzroy Community Food Centre Kitchen, rear of 125 Napier St, Fitzroy
Getting there: Parking – Limited amount of 2 hour parking nearby or Public Transport – Number 86 or 11 tram to Stop 13 (corner of Gertrude and Brunswick Streets), Number 86 tram to Stop 14 (Napier/Gertrude Streets), or the Number 86 Tram to Stop 17 (Charles/Smith Streets), and walk to rear of 125 Napier St, Fitzroy.
