The great people at the Sustainable Living Festival are putting on a special lunch this Valentine’s Day but you can’t buy tickets, you have to win them!
The Great Local Lunch will be a ‘crowd farmed’ feast of freshly picked and foraged Victorian produce, cooked up by Melbourne’s most celebrated chefs – what’s not to love about that?
This feast will bring together the people and produce from local farms and Melbourne backyards to inspire a new generation of growers. What an amazing way to learn about the importance of eating local.
Host Costa Georgiadis, from ABC’s Gardening Australia, will unearth gardening, cooking, recipe and sustainability tidbits as well.
“Gathering around a table and engaging in conversation, is a simple solution to sustainable living. The Great Local Lunch is about connecting with each other and the source of our food.” Costa said. We cannot agree more and this is an area that I am particularly passionate about at DC.
