We love Gastropubs that are relaxed but not unrefined (and award winning). The menu at Lamaro’s was very impressive, lots of wonderful things to choose from like the Crispy Szechuan duck with orange blossom caramel ($35) and Yellowfin Tuna Tartare with avocado (pictured), spanner crab mayonnaise and baby shiso ($23). The meals are filling and abundant (great value), so we recommend spacing out your meal so you can fit in the Espresso crème brulée, the chocolate fondant with pistachio mousse or the yoghurt panna cotta (all $14 each).

Specials are updated daily, you can count on a wonderful, warm atmosphere – perfect on a wintery day, and great service. Ideal for couples, family meals and work lunches. They also do great food events, see website for details.
