What a sensational success story, this establishment is not only considered one of Melbourne’s most coveted cafe’s, it is also regarded as purveyor of Melbourne’s finest coffee.  From breakfast to lunch, find one of the most elegantly executed brunch menus in town. Their very gourmet food offerings are seasonal and locally sourced where possible, and producers include Tivoli Road Bakery, Schulz Organic Milk, cultured butter from Myrtleford and more.

Gourmet menu items with their quality ingredients include granola complete with infused compote and labne’, a breakfast board, latin and south american inspired breakfast dishes, and more tastebud enticing and flavourful dishes.

Auction Rooms also serve a fine selection of tea, and are vegan and vegetarian-friendly. Their staff too are always incredibly friendly and cheerful. I’m sold.

Consciousness:  Auction Rooms directly source their coffee from Central and South America, Kenya and Ethiopia. Their gourmet food offerings are seasonal and locally sourced where possible, including producers such as Tivoli Road Bakery, Schulz organic milk, Grown&Gathered fruit, veggies and cut flowers and cultured butter from Myrtleford Butter. You’ll also be pleased to know that they use 100% plant based take away packaging and cutlery, 100% recycled paper napkins and they recycle all glass, paper, plastic, cardboard and compost all of their food waste. Yes!

Notes: Despite its roomy space, Auction Rooms is often packed with patrons. Thankfully though, they’ve counteracted the busy flow by opening a standing only cafe’, Counter, across the road. If you’re open to a coffee, treat or sandwich on the go this is your best bet.
