Very close friends of DC’s have just launched a new range of superfood boosted protein products and I for one am very excited! Normally, when I even hear the words ‘protein’ I immediately think of protein powder and then I shudder as the image of a high weight low rep gym junkie meat head pops into my mind. SuperNourish’s concept is going to challenge that stereotype.

What they’ve described as ‘nutritional wellbeing products’ come blended with superfood ingredients like maca root, acai and chia – two of those three products are always staples in my pantry. They are aimed at every ‘body’ with a focus on nutrition as opposed to muscle and this is for me what it’s all about (as well as flavour of course!). Our friends at SuperNourish have kindly shared with us the recipe for their Antioxidant Smoothie. Antioxidant Smoothie

Serves 1


If you’re looking to boost your antioxidant intake, there’s no better way than with a delicious smoothie packed full of nutritious blueberries. Blueberries are known to have the highest antioxidant capacity of all fresh fruit, and they taste delicious too!


250 ML Almond Milk, Oat Milk, Skim Milk or Soy Milk (or water)

1 small handful of frozen blueberries

½ a banana

½ tsp. Spirulina (optional)

2 pitted Medjool Dates

1 scoop SuperNourish ProChia PPI


Add all ingredients together and blend.

Garnish with shredded organic coconut and goji berries.

Drink and enjoy!
